Jackie was born in the community of Bat Cave in Henderson County, NC. She attended Rutherford-Spindale High School where she was a majorette. After graduation, Jackie attended Polytechnic Institute and graduated from Blanton's Business College.
Jackie is survived by her husband of almost 72 years, Edwin Gilbert Brandle, daughter Nancy Ritchie (Dan) of Raleigh, son Edwin Gilbert Brandle Jr. (Laura) of Angier, son Greg Brandle of Raleigh, daughter Tracy Spinks of Raleigh, her 4 grandchildren, Jill Casteen, Ginny Pendleton (Alan), Davis Brandle and Adam Spinks, her 3 great granddaughters, Mallory, Bailey and Londyn. In addition she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Lindsay Brandle.
As a wife and homemaker, Jackie was a wonderful seamstress and cook and made the best ice tea around. She loved her family fiercely and had such a servant's heart as she sacrificially gave of herself daily to her children and others, never expecting anything in return.
A private graveside service will be held for the family at Raleigh Memorial Park.
