After graduating high school in Owosso, MI, Jacqueline “Jackie” moved to New York City, NY where she worked as a professional model before returning to Michigan. On August 14, 1949, she married the love of her life, Howd Edwin Mosher, of Owosso. The two were introduced by Jackie’s best friend—and Howd’s younger sister—Mary Ellen Mosher Stevenson. Together, Jackie and Howd started a family, raising their daughter, Jane, in Saginaw, MI, before moving to Raleigh, NC. Jackie loved and served her family and her community. She worked for over forty years at the Globetrotter in Raleigh. There, she shared her lifelong enthusiasm for travel and adventure.
Jackie is preceded in death by her husband, Howd Edwin Mosher. She is survived by their daughter, Jane Ann Mosher and her husband, Thomas Gay Hollen; two grandchildren, Edwin DeBarr Hollen and Annabelle Marie Hollen; and her beloved dog and companion, Opal.
A service will be held Wednesday, August 20th from 10:00am-12:00pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saving Grace animal rescue and the North Carolina Museum of Art.
