John "J.T." Tress Hauser Jr.

John was born August 17, 1931 in Winston-Salem, NC to Thelma Cook Hauser and John Tress Hauser, Sr. He was a Korean War veteran of the US Navy. John was a loving and devoted husband and father who was very active in Greystone Baptist Church until his death.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Magdalene “Margie” Miller Hauser.

John is survived by his children, Kim Hauser of Winston-Salem; Clay Hauser and wife, Julie of Clemmons; Suzanne Sebastian of Winston-Salem; 4 grandchildren, Cammie Hauser; Connor Sebastian; Krista Hauser; Bronwyn Sebastian; and brother, Steve Hauser of Florida.

A funeral service will be held 6:00pm Friday, October 28, 2011 at Greystone Baptist Church, 7509 Lead Mine Road, Raleigh, NC 27615. The family will receive friends 5:00-6:00 pm prior to the service at the church. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday at Waughtown Cemetery in Winston-Salem, NC.

Memorials may be made to Greystone Baptist Church.
