So sorry for your loss. She was such a special lady.  I remember riding from New Bern to Raleigh in her little Mustang and spending the night with her when Daddy was working at the state fair. Family is forever. Keeping you all in my prayers.

Robert Earl, Douglas, Nancy, Patsy, and Barbara:  I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother.  At this difficult and sad time, I pray for strength for the family, a lifting up in your spirit, and wish I were there to hug each of you.  What a special and delightful person Aunt Kat was and I have many fond memories of her always happy and laughing, especially when she would come and visit us and dad in New Bern. She meant so much to everyone in our family, and she will be missed.

Patsy, So sorry to hear of your mom's death.  I'll never forget the good times we all shared at your house in Millbrook our junior and senior years in high school.  What a blessing to have her with you this long and to have the precious memories of a dear sweet women.  Love to you all.

I will always cherish the times we spent with Aunt Kat and family. She was like our second Mom and I'll always remember her warm gracious smile.  She was a special Aunt.  Pat and I pray that God may continue to bless each of you during the days ahead.

Such a wonderful lady. She will be missed. Some of my happiest memories of childhood were made at her house. Oh how I loved those nights listening to her play the piano downstairs. Loved everyone of you guys. Still tell about going to school with Patsy and that Black Velvet skirt. Thought I was beautiful and your mother told me so!!!!  It's still hard at times when you miss your family but memories can never be taken away. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

When I was a teenager, I used to come spend a week with Aunt Kat and Uncle Bob.  I always felt so special!  Loved to hear her play her organ (5 foot 2, eyes of blue) and eat her homemade squash casserole as well as all of the other goodies! 
Once I was 16, she even let me drive her little green mustang!  She had the greatest smile and laugh!  She was just an easy person to love!
Once I became an adult, she always welcomed me and my children, with those bright laughing eyes of hers and hugs & kisses.  She just was always so special to me (my daughter's middle name is Kathleen!) and she always brings a smile to my face when I think of her!
