Kathleen Deal Jarchow, having lived a life of hope, patience, trust, and grace, now lives eternally with our Lord. She nurtured and cared for everyone she met. She believed that one needs a firm foundation rooted in Christ and helped so many of us plant those roots down and sustain them.
Kathy was driven by love. Her love for God, her husband Ken, her family, her friends, her community. When asked once how she had the courage to scramble up steep mountainsides with slippery shale behind her children, she replied, “The ones I loved were ahead of me, that pushes you past your fears.” This drive of love proved inexhaustible, even when her body wore down. She just kept loving, trusting in God, and giving hope to others. This is the only way you win the battles here on Earth, and she knew it.
In her final days, Kathy very much wanted to share with all of you that God NEVER forgets us, we will never be abandoned. Even in moments when you give up on yourself, or you think the world has given up, God does not. God does not forget or abandon us.
Faith - Hope - Love - Never forgotten. Kathy would encourage you to repeat it over and over and over.
You are loved. In that love there is hope; in that hope there is peace; in that peace there is confidence. In that confidence, the battle is won.
