He was born February 9, 1950 in Norfolk, VA to the late Mildred and Robert Aldridge. Ken graduated the University of Delaware in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. He married Suzanne Mangold on September 22, 1973 in Newark, DE.
He retired from Aventis in 2004 after thirty-three years. For the past fourteen years, he worked as Global Marketing Manager for BASF. Through his work, Ken became a world traveler and visited 108 countries. He was a passionate gardener, skilled woodworker, and avid tennis player.
Ken is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Suzanne; his children, Michele (Ben) DeFoe and Ken (Kelly) Aldridge, Jr.; his grandchildren, Adele, Davis, and Celia DeFoe; Kenneth, Kyler, and Kayla Aldridge; his sister, Pamela (Lee) Comegys. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Aldridge, Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 2 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home 1701 E. Millbrook Rd Raleigh, NC 27609, with reception to follow.
