Madge Lovonne McGilvary

Madge Cline McGilvary, 77, passed away with family by her side on Monday, April 9, 2018. Madge was born in Marion, NC to the late Fred and Lucy Cline and is survived by her husband of 57 years, James DeWitt McGilvary.

Madge was an extremely talented, creative and giving soul and was always willing to serve others. One of her greatest joys was cake decorating and arranging flowers for weddings. Madge had a beautiful smile and will be missed by many.

Madge will forever be remembered by her children Becky (Richard) Revels, Sharon Laney, Loree (Brian) Rose, James McGilvary, Jr. and Daniel (Jolene) McGilvary. Madge is dearly loved by her brothers Mike and Fred (Kay) Cline and the belated Dodge Cline. Grandchildren, Christy Schultz, Nicole Mullins, Laura & Taylor Mellor, Madison Laney, James III, Andrew & Aiden McGilvary, Matthew McGilvary and five Great Grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Brown Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00am, Thursday, April 12, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5060 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Cemetery in Sanford, NC.
