Mark P. Jacoby

On Monday, February 22, 2016, Mark P. Jacoby left this world too soon and quite unexpectedly. Born to Joseph and Virginia Jacoby in Bridgeport, CT on December 14, 1948, Mark graduated from Asheboro High School in 1967 and attended Western Carolina University. He retired from Caterpillar Corporation. After a lengthy career as a credit manager, he started Jacoby Photography fulfilling a creative dream in which he captured a multitude of special moments and lent his talents to such organizations such as Angels Among US and Flashes of Hope.

This January, Mark celebrated 27 years of marriage to his beloved wife, Joan (Singleton). In recent years together, they enjoyed spending weeks at a time at Holly Cove campground with their dogs, Abby and Annie the Whoodle.

Mark had three children from a former marriage: Jennifer Jacoby Rodriguez, Lancaster PA, Matthew Jacoby, Raleigh NC and Stephanie (Tess) Jacoby Cameron, Sanford NC as well as two step sons who he loved like his own: Gregory Wilson, Durham NC and Jeffrey Wilson, Durham NC.

Mark is survived by two sisters who were his best friends: Karen Jacoby Manera, Rock Hill SC and Ellen Jacoby Morrow, Douglasville GA.

One of his greatest pleasures in life was being The Great and Powerful Ba to his grandchildren: Lauren Wilson, Elizabeth Ryan, Michael Perry, Ashlyn Wilson, Amber Wilson, Madison Wilson, Drew Wilson, Sam and Jacob Church.

Mark requested we celebrate his life with a party! We invite you all to join us on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2:00pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 East Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC for a celebratory memorial.
