Dearest Audrey,  Time does not diminish loving family ties.  Just two weeks ago, on a trip to Longwood Gardens,  the sight of the Bonsai trees brought Bill so clearly into focus. Heather, Susie, Barbara Koski, and our grandson Jonathan's girlfriend Jacqui were all there to appreciate the beauty of the Orchid Extravaganza and somehow I knew that Bill was present with us. When you confirmed that he had visited there many times while working in Delaware, it was God and Bill drawing close to Heather, and I benefitted sitting in the wheelchair she was pushing. In my mind's eye I can hear his voice leading me on telling the story of his Bonsai tree. The very green one! Ed and I send you our love and prayers in remembering Bill.

I am so glad Bill was a part of our church family at North Ridge Bible Chapel.  He always had something insightful to say about our Lord Jesus.  He also knew about a lot of other things which he shared freely and with good skill.  He was a natural teacher.  We will miss him.

Bill, Dolly and Heather, I know how hard it is to lose a loved one so my prayers and thoughts are with all of you this day and the days to come.  God's comfort and assurance always be with you.

Dear Audrey and Family,

We have had the honor of attending Abiding Love Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas, with Paul, Dolly, and Heather for many years. We have seen the legacy of love that has been shared by your children. Their kindness has touched many hearts in our church community. Their loving actions and thoughtful kindness can be attributed to the support and loving circle of the Atkinson family. I'm sure we have met RW and you, Audrey, through their supportive care which is such a blessing to us. We are so sorry for the loss of your husband (dear father and beloved grandfather). We pray for God's Comfort and Peace in the midst of all of you. We lift each of you up  and escort you into His Presence during this very difficult time. Take care of each other and know there are many people in Austin who will support your family through this journey with loving embraces, kindness, and prayers. We love all of you so very much.

I appreciate the interest he took in me and the mark he made in my walk with the Lord will last the rest of my days. Bill was always ready with a word of encouragement or insight. I will hold in memory our talks and road trips together to the Mens Conferences in Burlington. Heaven is a bit richer and earth a bit poorer today.  But we will see him again when we meet in the air.
