Robert Herrmann

Robert was born August 1, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY to Harold Herrmann and Mildred Brazil Herrmann. He was a veteran of the US Army and graduate of Adephi University. Robert was employed with General Mills Corporation as a sales manager retiring after 30 years of service. Roberts was a volunteer fireman for Lynnbrook Fire Department in Lynnbrook, NY. He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Carol E. Herrmann.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Nancy Turner and her husband Ronnie of Zebulon; son, Bruce Herrmann of Raleigh; sister, Dorothy Silvernail and her husband, Fred of Conway, South Carolina; 3 grandchildren, Kimberly, Caley and Albany; and caregiver and special friend, Stephanie Snead.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh, NC 27609. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Robert Herrmann.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to your favorite charity of your choice. Robert had many he supported such as Cancer Society, Volunteer Fire Departments, and Blind Foundation.
