Robert Allen Wall died on Monday, March 25th, 2019. He was born in Chicago, IL on March 23, 1929 to Swedish immigrant parents. He married the love of his life, Norma Christensen, and recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. He is survived by Norma, 3 children, Dr. Marilee Vana, Steve Wall, and Christine Lockley, 10 grandchildren, and 14 great- grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Dr. Timothy R. Wall (1952-2018); his grandson, Jonathan T. Wall (1977-1991); his great-granddaughters, (2017) and Cecilia (2019). Robert and Norma are members of Redeemer Presbyterian Church of Raleigh.
Robert was a master carpenter and founded American Construction in Chicago, IL. His retirement years were consumed with building furniture for his children and grandchildren. His crowning wood project was carving a violin. This violin will be played at his memorial service which is to be held at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 11412 Strickland Rd, Raleigh, NC at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2.
Robert would most liked to be remembered as a man who loved Jesus Christ, His Lord and Savior, loved his wife, loved his many children and grands, and loved the people of God. In lieu of flowers, contributions are encouraged to CareLink Foundation https:// carelinkfoundation.org/, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing critical assistance to families in third world countries, particularly Honduras.
