Shandrai Yvette Boyd

In 1981 Drai graduated from Charles D. Owen High School in Swannanoa, NC.  Upon graduating, she went on to earn her Bachelor and Master degrees from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC.

On July 26,1985 Terry V. Smith and Shandrai Y. Boyd were united in holy matrimony in Durham, NC.

Drai was preceded in death by her two daughters, Whitney Nicole Smith and Sydney Nicole Smith.

Left to cherish her loving memory is her husband, Terry V. Smith of Raleigh, NC and stepson, Jamar Smith (Tameka) & grandchildren (Brennan, Kaiden and Lucas) of Youngsville, NC; parents, Hubert and Carolyn Boyd of Swannanoa, NC; brothers, Sean E. Boyd (Laura) of Cameron, NC and Juan E. Boyd (Charmaine) of Garner, NC; sisters, Twanna L. Boyd-Smith of Willow Spring, NC, Franscoise Dunston (Ron) of Willingboro, NJ, and Arethia O. Scott (Elizabeth) of Asheville, NC; nieces (Shaunna, Christina, Tiara, Angelique, and LaSean); nephews (Christopher, Sean “BJ”, Everett, Ronnie Jr. and RonShawn); great-nieces (Maur’issia, Railynn, Mekiayla, Nubia, and Nala); great-nephews (Osiris and AJ) and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
