

Steve is survived by his wife, Susan Hoffman and five children – Steve Hoffman, Jr. (Terri), Tim Hoffman (Lisa), Scott Hoffman (Erin), Daniel Hoffman (Laura) and Elise Odom (Dave).
Steve was born to the late Eugene Hoffman, Jr. and Lydia Hoffman and he is survived by siblings – Eugene Hoffman, III (Kathy), Beryl Eagan (Rick) and Gregory Hoffman (Carolyn) as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Greater New Orleans, Louisiana, Steve was a proud graduate of Archbishop Rummel High School and Louisiana State University. A faithful husband and devoted father, Steve and Susan raised their children in a home filled with love, faith, and laughter.
Steve’s family was his greatest joy, and his legacy lives on through his thirteen cherished grandchildren – Trey Hoffman, Peter Hoffman, Lily Hoffman, Kate Hoffman, Grace Hoffman, Molly Hoffman, Abby Hoffman, George Hoffman, Knox Hoffman, Lorelai Odom, Annabelle Odom, Ensley Odom and Gibson Odom.
Steve was known for his warmth, humor, and joyful spirit. He was a gifted athlete, excelling in baseball. He was a life-long passionate fan of LSU football. He found deep peace and joy in both the North Carolina coast and the bayous of Louisiana, where he enjoyed fresh seafood and the beauty of the water.
A talented builder and craftsman, Steve loved working on his home and creating things with his hands. Professionally, he was respected as a pharmaceutical project manager and engineer, admired for his integrity and strong work ethic.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 7th at 11:00 AM at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Steve’s laughter, kindness, and love will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
