

Thomas Joseph Haag, 73, of Raleigh, NC passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014. He was born in Tipton, Indiana and later moved to Front Royal Virginia, Homeland and Tampa, Florida, Poughkeepsie, New York, and Southampton, England, before settling in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Tom served in the US Army from 1957 to 1960. He was a graduate of University of South Florida Class of 1968. Tom began to work for IBM in 1968 and after 25 years of service retired in 1993. At that time he joined Josephine in her business venture Childworks Preschool Established in 1990.
Tom is survived by his wife, Josephine Graves Haag; son, Donald L. Haag and spouse Linda H. Haag; daughter, Cheryl Haag Walker and spouse Randy Walker; grandchildren, Christopher Haag and spouse Melanie G. Haag, Aimee Haag, Brian Walker, and Ashley Walker; great grandchildren, Emily Haag and Kayli Haag; brother, Samuel V. Haag and wife Linda; five nephews and two nieces of Florida.
He is preceded in death by parents, Carl and Daphne Haag; brother, Donald Haag, and sister, Judy.
Memorial Services will be held at Crabtree Valley Baptist Church, 4408 Lead Mine Rd., Raleigh, NC 27612 on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
Jo and the family have asked that in lieu of flowers, Memorial donations be made to the UNC Memory Disorders Program through the Medical Foundation of North Carolina, 880 MLK Jr. Blvd. Chapel Hill, NC 27514
