Wayne Lee Janes

Wayne Lee Janes was born in Russell Springs, Kentucky to Ted & Flosse Janes on May 26, 1952. Wayne served in the US Army, under the 197th Infantry Brigade, as a Military Police Officer. Wayne was an engineer and worked for BA Hoft for over 25 years.

Wayne enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, playing pool, and golf, having made two hole in ones during his avid golfing years. Wayne always loved great times with family and friends. He used his good heart and warm-felt nature to make those around him feel very comfortable and happy. Wayne took wonderful care of his family and always put them first.

Wayne will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pamela Janes; his daughters, Angela West & her husband, Devin West; Chantel Janes; his 4 grandchildren, Jordan, Kali, Nolan, and Finn; his brothers, Darius & his wife, Judy; Danny & his wife, Tana; as well as his sister, Rose.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.

The Janes family will be receiving guests immediately following the service at the West’s home in Raleigh.
