Zeb was born in Apex, North Carolina on September 6, 1926 to the late Zeb Vance Smith Sr. and Callie Catherine Medlin Smith.
Zeb, after graduating High School, worked for White Trucking Company and was a long time member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Zeb is survived by his loving sisters, Dorothy Early and Edna Tingen, both of Raleigh; and nieces Elaine Hunt of Knightdale, NC and Janice Cummings of Omaha, NE.
Family will receive friends on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh, 27609. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Youngsville, NC.
