

Beloved wife and mother, Beverly June Gordon, 84, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Redding, CA, after a brief, but courageous battle with pneumonia. Beverly was born August 24, 1928, the daughter of Sadie Jane and Edmund Newton Crews. She was born and raised in Red bluff, CA, where she was a life-long resident. She was a graduate of Red Bluff High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Thomas Jackson Gordon. She is survived by her four children, Lynn Gordon, Gary (Kim) Gordon, Tom Gordon, and Laurie Gordon Kehrer. She has four grandchildren, Heather (Jake) Walton, Jennifer Gordon, Brienna Landis, and Ian Gordon. She has two great-grandsons, Jayce Saefong, and Wyatt Walton, and a great-granddaughter, Hallee Walton and her sister, Marilyn Schulthess.
Beverly worked as the head bank-teller at Crocker Bank when she met her future husband, Thomas Gordon. After marriage, she stayed at home and was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Beverly immensely enjoyed spending time with her family and was greatly devoted to them. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, camping, and fishing. She became a member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West. She also enjoyed numerous family vacations to the coast, family barbeques and picnics at Lassen Park. Beverly was a wonderful cook. Her love of cooking led to many delicious meals and special times with family gathered around the table.
Best known for her beautiful spirit, quiet strength, caring disposition, love of cooking, and great love of family. She is loved beyond measure and will be missed. She leaves behind a wealth of rich memories and her love which transcends time. She has enriched our lives immeasurably and we are forever grateful.
