Robert (Bob) Vernon Banwarth passed away from a brief illness on November 10th, 2023, at the age of 81. He was born in Freeport, Illinois, on August 28th, 1942, to Vernon and Jean Banwarth and graduated from Elizabeth High School. He met Carol during his High School years and they married in 1962 and ended up making their home with their 3 children; Tammy, Bobby Jr., and Susan in Apple River, Illinois. In 1975, they moved their family to Red Bluff, California, where he started a trucking company with brothers Norm and Ron. After that endeavor, he started in the logging industry as a company manager, and then moved on to start his own logging business, owning two log trucks. He finished out his career with 20 years driving for Walmart until he retired at age 70. He was a very good and experienced driver and took pride in his work, always doing a good job, keeping his appearance clean cut, and keeping his trucks spotless and running in tip-top shape. He was always a very hard worker and took good care of his family. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing cards, pool, and going on camping outings, and eating some good homemade food. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Jean Banwarth, and his loving wife of almost 60 years, Carol Banwarth.
