Gale Lloyd Effenbeck1924 - 2015Gale Lloyd Effenbeck, from Anderson, CA, age 90, died from cancer on February 27, 2015 at Serenity Gardens Assisted Living in Redding, California. He was born on May 07, 1924 in North Platte, Nebraska. Gale and his family moved to Shasta County in 1935.Gale was preceded in death by his beloved companion Patricia Moore who lost her battle with Alzheimer's on February 2, 2014. He is survived by his daughters, Terry Wilson (Rolfe Appel) of Folsom and Tracy Rutherford (John) of Bella Vista, sons Scott Effenbeck of Redding and Mitch Effenbeck (Neva) of Prescott, Arizona; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Gale retired from PG&E in the 80's. He was a proud Army-Air Corps WWII Veteran. He was a member of the Anderson VFW Post 9650. Gale was a dedicated member of the VFW Honor Guard well into his 80's. He also belonged to the Anderson Moose Lodge 509 and the American Legion.Graveside services and internment for both Gale and Pat will be on March 13, 2015 at 10 am at the Redding Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Anderson VFW Post 9650, 3210 West Center Street, Anderson, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the American Cancer Society for Gale or the Alzheimer's association for Pat.
