Just now, worried about the Redding fires, I searched for Malcolm -- only to find this.

I'm greatly saddened. Malcolm was my freshman roomate at Stanford, which meant we were partners in learning what college was all about. 

Although we fell out of touch -- it's been a very long time -- I've thought of him over the years, and remember those times fondly. 



Malcolm was a friend for nearly 60 years.  We both lived in Benton Tract in the 50's and spent a lot of happy days together.  He was always destined for success and leadership, which he admirably fulfilled.  We have lost one of Redding's finest.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Dr Hill was my doctor for 14 years. He was not just a fine physician but he was a friend to his patients. Before he retired, I drove 312 miles each way from Bandon, Oregon for appointments.....that is how much faith I had in him. I will always consider him to be the finest physician I have ever known.

It was with great sadness I saw the passing of Malcolm Hill.  He was my doctor and our kids grew up together in Palo Cedro.  Condolences to Bonnie and the Hill family.

Malcolm was my friend, mentor, colleague and physician.  He could always be counted on to serve his patients and the medical staff.  We always appreciated his honesty and "tell it like it is" approach.  He was one-of-a-kind and will truly be missed.

Malcolm will be greatly missed.  Please accept our sympathies at your loss.

Every one in our family knew Malcolm as their own gastroenterologist and highly respected his diagnostic acumen and endoscopic skills as much as his honest and friendly bedside manner. He saved my wife's life after diagnosing  cancer in 1995. I was honored to give allergy care to Andy when he was very young and to Malcolm's parents. Our condolences to Bonnie and family.
