Melinda Smyth, age 56, passed away peacefully at Shasta Regional surrounded by her family on Friday, October 22, 2021. From her birth on March 19, 1965 to her death on Friday she emanated faith, love, and kindness to the people around her. She was adopted by Jim and Carol Adams and grew up in Shasta county. After attending Nova and Enterprise High School, she served as a librarian at Shasta college for numerous years. She loved reading, helping others, and going on adventures with her friends and family. Melinda is survived by her two twin sons, Joshua and Micah (Rebecca) Duclos; her sisters Mary Jane Mathis and Becki Adams Blair; her brother Dan Adams; her parents Jim and Carol Adams. Family, friends and others whose lives Melinda touched are invited to McDonald’s Chapel, 1275 Continental Street, Redding, CA at 1:00pm on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 to reminisce, grieve, support each other, and celebrate the incredible woman Melinda was.
