Patricia Dennis

Patricia Dennis of Redding, California passed away on December 13, 2025 and is now in the hands of the Lord. Patricia was born in Brooklodge Glanmire, County Cork in Ireland to Parents John and MaryAnn Manning. She graduated from nursing training as a SRN, State Registered Nurse, at Stoke Mandeville Hospital located in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England. She worked for a short time at the Harley Street Nursing Homes after graduation.

Being adventurous and filled with wanderlust she went to Toronto Canada where she worked as an RN for a few years. Her next stop was San Francisco. She met Dave Dennis, who was in the Navy, while she was in San Francisco.

Dave and Pat were married in Atlantic, Iowa in December, 1963. Her brother, Father Michael Manning, came from Ireland to perform their wedding. They had over 62 wonderful years together.

When Dave got out of the Navy, he attended the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. Upon graduation they moved to Redding where Dave established a practice and Pat worked at St. Elisabeth hospital in Red bluff until her retirement.

Dave and Pat had a wonderful marriage and enjoyed travelling, camping, and spending time with friends and one another.

There will be a funeral service after the first of the year with interment in Galbally, Ireland later in the Spring.
