Rod Jordan.........Rod left us on his 65th birthday, October 21, 2014. He passed away at Mercy Medical Center after a sudden collapse from a ruptured cerebral aneurysm. This won't be a testimony to everything he did or accomplished in life, because those accomplishments are enumerable. Everyone who knew him was well aware of his love for fishing, golfing, biking, traveling, and just moving with life. What this is about is a very, very good man. A man who set a magnificent example for his son of what a man should be. Our son, Jim Jordan, follows in his father's footsteps with integrity, honesty, and a beautiful soul. I am proud to call him our son. Our daughter, Brittany Moyer was always taught to "reach for the stars". He believed in her when she needed that faith. She walks through life with the same integrity, honestly and beautiful soul. I am proud to call her our daughter. Rod left behind a community of friends that he remained loyal to as they remained loyal to him. He was blessed with an adoring family which included his four grandchildren. Each of them filling a special place in his heart and life. Savannah Moyer, 15, Kaleb Moyer, 13, Maggie Jordan, 7 and Elliot Jordan, 5. They will surely miss the movies, biking, ice-cream, fishing, parks, book stores, camping..and just experiencing the enthusiasm Grandpa Pook always showed in their presence. Rod also left behind his brothers-in-law, Doug Barker (my rock), and Woody Marshall. His brother-in-law Len Massaro, his sister-in-law, Pam Massaro, his daughter-in-law, Dana Jordan and his nieces Tiffany Piscetelli, Tina Chang, and Allegra Swan and nephew, Erik Craig, and his father James Jordan. There are no words to describe how the loss of this man has affected the lives of so many. We were all truly blessed to have known Rod. I know someday I will be able to look back at the thirty years he gave me without pleading for twenty more. I'm his wife, Karen. I have lost the love of my life and I will miss him until the day I see him again.Services for Rod will be held November 1, 2014 at 11:00am at St. Joseph's Church 2040 Walnut Ave , Redding, Ca.
