Shirley Mae Rohlfing was born in Placerville, California, on September 6, 1935 to John and Mae Rohlfing. She grew up in nearby Diamond Springs. Shirley was awarded the Bank of America Achievement Award for Home Economics upon graduation from El Dorado High School in 1954.
Shirley married Ross Naze in April 1954 and they had two children, Valerie and Bryan. Shirley married Ralph Weber in 1962. The family grew with the addition of Patricia and Michael. Shirley was a loving wife and mother, and an excellent homemaker. She learned to sew from her mother and passed those skills on to her two daughters. She loved to crochet and embroider in her spare time. There was a large garden every summer and flowers throughout the yard.
Shirley is survived by former husband Ralph Weber and her children, Valerie Orner and husband Steve, Patricia Blythe, and Michael Weber. Grandchildren include Amanda Owens, Heather Stevens, Allison Gresham, David Blythe, Anthony Blythe, and Katie Orner. There are seven great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on April 2, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Lime Kiln Road, Diamond Springs, California.
