Steve was born August 22, 1976 in Anaheim, CA. He moved to Redding with his family in 1980. He graduated from Anderson Union High School in 1994. Within 2 yrs of graduating high school he moved to Minnesota for approximately 3 yrs and became involved in newspaper marketing where he became very successful allowing him to relocate, in the same profession, to his hometown of Redding and then to Pismo Beach area. Steve loved his family and friends and was always very outgoing. Steve was the 49ers #1 fan. He was the best uncle you could ask for and adored children. He had always hoped to have a family of his own.
Steve is survived by his father Danny Umland of Las Vegas, NV, sister's Vicky (Craig) Oliver of Cottonwood, Jacki (Joseph) Hodge of Maryville, TN, Jenni Snider of Redding, brother Jacob Lindner of Folsom, CA, 2 nephews and 2 nieces and many other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Debi Snider-Dodson.
