On August 30th, 2015, Violet Tarling, a resident of Redding since 1969, passed away due to complications from hip surgery. Violet was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.In her 85 years, she attended college, earned her AA degree, worked as a Dental Asst. to an Oral Surgeon, volunteered at different charities. Raised two children, and enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.Violet loved Jesus and had faith that she was going to be with God and her loved ones in heaven.She is survived by her loving husband, Stan Tarling, daughter, Gwena Odum (Paul), son John Tarling, granddaughter Jenna Collins (Finnbarr) grandson Jeffrey Odum, grandson Aric Tarling, great grandson Nathan, 6, great granddaughter Emma, 5.Her memorial service will be Saturday, September 19th at 2 p.m. at Community of Christ Church 19956 Alexander, Anderson, CA 96007 (530) 365-5283.
