She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bertha Withrow; nine siblings – all of West Virginia; and one great-grandson, Layton. Cookie retired from the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, James W. Beach Jr.; children, James “Skip” W. Beach III (Stephanie), Stephen W. Beach (Tina), Kenneth L. Beach (Laura); 10 grandchildren, Tiffany, Christopher, James "J.T.", Jennifer, Kayla (Stephen), Amber (Chris), Cole (Sarah), Reagan (Austin), Cammie, Levi; and seven great-grandchildren, Melanie, Nicole, Jackson, Abram, Henley, Hudson, Elsie.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025, in Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd., Hanover, VA 23069.
