

Born in Harlem, NY on a cold winter night, Carrie Lee Peyton entered her parents' world January 17, 1948. Her mother's untimely death in 1949 left her father lost with an 18 month old, but God never leaves or takes away anything that you need. He replaced her mother with her Aunt Esther Peyton-Johnston-Terry. How blessed Carolyn was, always having a mother's love. Carolyn's love was dancing, playing school, and playing her piano. She would spend hours composing music and playing or dancing for her dolls. Carolyn graduated from Laurinburg Institute in 1965. She made friendships that have lasted a lifetime. In 1969, she married James Stitt and they had a daughter, LaShaune. In 1977, she moved to Los Angeles, and she and Louis White had a daughter named Keesha in 1978. Carrie's journey has been a source of joy and pain, but her faith in God has always brought her through. Carrie accomplished several things: B.A. degree in Business Administration (1983), M.A. in Secondary Education (1996), M.A. in Education Math (grades 7 – 12) (1996), Christian Counselor (Texas, 2006), Minister of the Gospel (Texas, 2007), Author (2014, 2015, 2016), and Founder & CEO of Peyton Consultants (2015). She loved fully and lived a rich life. Her family shares her tears, her faith and her dreams!!
