She was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Booth Parrish; father, Samuel Parrish Sr.; brother, Samuel Parrish Jr.; son, William Sharpe Jr.; and granddaughters, Amber Dean, Heather Dean.
June was a nutritional aide at Jacob L. Adams Elementary School. She retired from Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) as a coin counter.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters-in-law, Christine Harris, Pamela Maybush; grandchildren, Tabatha Sharpe, Krystal Sharpe, Cody Smith, Aidan Harris, Rustin Dean, Haven Harless; great-granddaughters, Katelyn Swann, Madison Swann, Shanna Swann, Alexis Sharpe, Alyssa Outten; niece, Samantha Parrish; and nephews, Trey Parrish, Jeffery Harris, Stephan Price, Stan Smith.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
