HODGES, Catesby “Russell”, Jr., 67, of Varina, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 17, 2016. He was a retired Master Electrician from Anheuser Busch, and a member of Apostolic Christian Church. Russell enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid outdoor sportsman. He was also the captain of the Varina baseball, basketball, and football teams. He was preceded in death by his father, Catesby Russell Hodges, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Hodges; son, Vince Hodges and his wife, Julia; mother, Julia Wallo Hodges; grandchildren, Emma and William; and siblings, Jimmy, Linda, and Rachael. Visitation will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Nelsen Funeral Home on Laburnum Ave., where a service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 10 am.
