Claude Swanson Fitz Jr., 86, of Richmond passed away, Thursday, December 22, 2016. Claude was a member of Corinth United Methodist Church, served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, was a Master Mason at Sandston Masonic lodge #216 A.F & A.M., and a former bus driver for Trailways. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Fitz and second wife, Virginia Fitz. Claude is survived by his children, Becky Pilley (Floyd), Terrie Jones (Lefty), and Gene Fitz (Susan); seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Green, Ruby Tollerson, and Elizabeth Ann Franklin. In addition he is survived by LuAnn Fincher and Christie Stover and their families. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 4-7pm at Nelsen Funeral Home Laburnum with a Masonic service immediately following. A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 12 noon at Corinth United Methodist Church, Sandston VA. Interment will follow at 3pm at Washington Memorial Park.
