Curtis M. Sutphin, Jr.

SUTPHIN, Curtis M. Jr., 77, of Henrico, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Louise Sutphin (Abrams); and his father, Curtis M. Sutphin Sr. Curtis was a sheet metal fabricator for Brown & Root and Hudson Sheet Metal, and also served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1961. He is survived by his wife, June Dickerson Sutphin; children, Charlene Silva of New Kent, Curtis M. Sutphin III of Richmond, Cheryl Sutphin of Henrico, William Sutphin of Danville, Lynda Hudson of Florida, Leslye Hosier of Florida, and Lori Dillon of King William; grandchildren, William Silva, Lee Silva, Bernard Silva III and Michelle Posenau; numerous great-grandchildren; and siblings, Janice Maybee of Florida and Charlotte Briere of Hanover. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, between 6 and 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23231, where services will be held Wednesday, April 22, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
