Danny R. Patterson, 65, of Highland Springs, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017. He worked for IW Local 28 for 45 years where he received his Lifetime Membership Award. He was preceded in death by his father, E.J. Patterson; two brothers, Roger (Shorty P.) and Charles. Danny is survived by his mother, Geraldine Patterson; four children, Shawn (Nancy), Nichole (Barry), Kristen, and E.J. (Amanda); 11 grandchildren who he loved with all his heart; and siblings, Wanda (Chuck), and Larry (Susan). He was loved by all and will be missed by many. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 4-8pm at Nelsen Funeral Home Laburnum. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home Laburnum. Interment will follow at Signal Hill Cemetery.
