JOHNSON, Doris Jackson, 73, of Halifax, VA passed away on January 11, 2015. She retired from Kroger in Durham, N.C. after 20+ years. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Robert and Bessie Edith Jackson; and one brother, Sherman Jackson. Doris is survived by her husband, William J. Johnson Jr.; children, James and Craig Hartsell, Beth and Joey Johnson; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert and Ruby Jackson, and Louise Jackson; and a host of additional nieces, nephews, friends and family. A visitation will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 11:00am- 1:00pm with a service starting at 1:00pm.
