GRUBBS, Eleanor “Granny” or “Peggy”, 94, of Varina, passed away June 3, 2016. She attended the East End Assembly of God and was an avid fan of gospel singing and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell N. Grubbs; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Grubbs; and son-in-law, Fred Creasy. She is survived by her children Barbara Creasy, Mitchell W Grubbs, and Sally “Trudy” Young (Greg); 2 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 2 special nieces. Visitation will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home Laburnum on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Services will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home Laburnum on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 2 pm.
