Elsie K. Proffitt of Henrico departed this life Saturday, March 29, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson S. Proffitt; and parents, Leonard and Helen Wagner. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Jackson and Linda Hott; five grandchildren, Dena Hair, Opal Gay, Cody Hott, Brian Jackson and Kimberly Jackson; five great-grandchildren; and a long-time companion, Ralph Morris. Services to be announced later. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements under the direction of Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory, Richmond, VA.
