Eric Scott Cooper

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Eric Scott Cooper, a beloved brother, uncle, friend, and cherished member of both the Volkswagen and Las Vegas Raiders communities.

Eric was the son of the late Mary Louise Staton, whose love and guidance shaped the incredible man he became.

He is survived by his sisters, Millie Travers (Tim Radvany), Misty Trimmer (Travis Trimmer), and Amanda Mason (Tim Mason). He was a proud uncle to Sierra Williams, Stephen Detrick (Jessica Detrick), Gabrielle Farrell, Timothy Mason Jr. (Shelby Mason), Mariah Schwenk, Mary Travers, Maricella Avila, Connor Travers, Hunter Wright, and Peyton Boettcher. Eric also leaves behind his cherished great-nieces and nephews: Daniel Detrick, Connor Detrick, Daxton Childress, Maddie Trimmer, James Trimmer, Aaleyah Mason, Dallas Mason, and Richard Mason.

Known to many as “Coop,” Eric had a passion for Volkswagen buggies and was a well-loved figure in the VW community. He was also a devoted supporter of the Las Vegas Raiders, proudly representing the team and bonding with fellow fans over a shared love of the game. His infectious smile, brilliant mind, and hilarious sense of humor made him unforgettable to all who met him. Eric was more than just a car enthusiast and football fan—he was a loyal friend, a guiding light to his family, and a man whose laughter and kindness made life better for everyone around him. His presence may be gone, but his spirit will continue to ride with us on every road ahead.
