She was “Granny” to everyone she knew, a loving mother, and a retired employee of American Tobacco Co.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Romers and is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Steve Burke; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Priscilla Romers; grandchildren, Robert Burke (Nazira), Jennifer Gay (Freddie), Sarah Porter (BJ), Christina Brady (Ryan) and Michael Romers (Michelle); numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231.
A graveside service will be held Friday, October 14, at 11 a.m. at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Dr., Sandston, VA 23150.
