Florence Hudson Sparkman

Florence Hudson Sparkman, 90, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on July 6, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miles Edwin Sparkman, Jr. Mrs. Sparkman was a member of Corinth United Methodist Church and Willis United Methodist Church and a former Worthy Matron of the Order of The Eastern Star. She is survived by her son, M.E. Eddie Sparkman (Mary); daughter, Denise Haden (Robert); grandchildren, Jay Tate (Victoria), Melissa McDonough (Frank), Tiffany Linthicum (Eli), Samantha Webster (Gary), Robbie Haden (Tammy), Mark Haden (Jennifer), Shawn Haden (Michelle) and Tracey Richter (Brian); 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Howard Hudson (Marge) and sister, Goldie McCarty. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231, where a funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday July 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
