HUDDLESTON, Frances Lucado, departed this life on September 6, 2017. She was born on May 16, 1921, in Eagle Rock, Virginia. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Walter Huddleston; and five siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Gladys Huddleston, Rae Levy and Jan Cooley (Roger); grandchildren, Jonathan Gunn, Amy Alexander (James) and Eric Callahan (Andrea); great-granddaughter, Paris Callahan; and sisters, Cora Cahoon and Geraldine Baker, both of Fincastle. Frances was a retired employee of U.S. (Model) Tobacco Company and a member of the New Found Church of Christ. She was involved in and held positions in numerous civic organizations in Powhatan County. Her many hobbies included crafts, gardening, genealogy, Harley-Davidson motorcycles (is there any other kind?) and traveling. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 10, from 2 to 5 p.m., at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond.
