CAMPBELL, Frederick Hadley III "Dutch," died unexpectedly on August 29, 2018. He was born in McDonald, Pa., on December 2, 1953, but raised in Sandston, Va. Dutch was a hometown boy, graduating from Highland Springs High School and then Virginia Commonwealth University. He was an avid tennis player and a recreational bike rider. He and devoted wife, Melody, took many trips together since his retirement from Philip Morris. He leaves behind his wife, Melody; son, Chad and wife, Shannon; and grandson, Quinn; his daughter, Katie; and stepchildren, Mike Kurland and Meredith Morse. In addition, he leaves behind sister, Odette Campbell; sister, Kim and husband, Bob Gayle; and his brother, Doug Campbell and wife, Sonia. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider donating to the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation at virginiacapitaltrail.org.
