Guy B. Meeks Jr.

Guy B. Meeks, Jr., 78, of Sandston went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Guy was a member at Sandston Baptist Church. He served in the Army for 7 years. Mr. Meeks was a member of the German Club. He was an entertainer by nature. He always had a smile and a joke for everyone; he never met a stranger. Guy is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jacquelyn Meeks; son, Michael B. Meeks (Christina); daughters, Cynthia Bryant (Victor), Rebecca Wallace (Buddy); 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie Hughes, June Hall, and Arlene Adams; brother, William “Doc” Meeks and many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sandston Baptist Church, 100 W. Williamsburg Road, Sandston, VA 23150.
