

Weagley, Hazel Willard “Memaw”, 90, went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Frank “Jimmy” Weagley, Jr.; grandsons, Ricky Lawson and Damien Jennings, sisters, Dorothy, Madeline and Louise. Hazel was retired from the Virginia Department of Taxation. A member of New Bridge Baptist Church she found her strength in the Lord and followed his word. Hazels focus in life was being a good Mother to her three daughters, a devoted wife and loving grandmother. She became famous for her warm and loving smile and the kind words she always had to say. She loved swimming at the YMCA, taking long walks and going to the “rivah”. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Coltes (Joe), Deborah Stidham (Troy) and Lisa Vanderburg (Bobby); grandchildren, John Rushing (Susan), James Rushing (Jen), Garland Rushing, Billy Lawson (Melissa Moss), Misty Maxie (Thomas Jennings); great-grandchildren, Timothy, Tyler, Tiffany, Tara, Kaylee, Scott and Jacob Rushing, Casey and Molly Lawson, and Hailey Jennings; special niece, Dr. Jan Harris; and special friend Stacy Trainum as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Virginia, where a funeral service will be conducted on November 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, Virginia.
