Helen Warthan Hicks, 94, of Richmond, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Hicks; brothers, Earl & Richard Warthan; and sister, Mabel Floyd. She is survived by her son, George Hicks (Mary Beth); grandchildren, Katy Apostolides (Chris) and Kendall Dunaway (Tyler); great-grandchildren, Will & Alex Apostolides, and Caleb Dunaway; sister, Margaret Williams; and a host of nieces and nephews. Helen was a member of the Sandston Moose Lodge. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m., with a Moose Lodge service following at 7 p.m. on Monday, August 5, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue Richmond, Va 23231. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Oakwood Cemetery, Richmond, Va.
