

Born on a farm in Highland Springs on June 24th, 1941. In her teens, her parents moved to Miami, where she was a Graduate of North Miami High School, class of 1959.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John Alexander Gray Jr., Parents John Ellis Dunkley and Lillian Hibbard Dunkley.
She is survived by her children John Cure, James "J.R." Cure (Janice), William "Billy" Gray (Heather), Jannette Coffey, and grandchildren, Justin Cure, Holly Lester (Brandon), Aaron Hartness, and great grandson Brandon Wayne Lester.
After retirement, she and John moved to Charlotte Courthouse, Virginia with the graciousness of Larry and Cathy Lewis and their daughter Julie. Larry was a part of the family growing up, and his family is considered our family. Jackie participated in the UDC and was a history and genealogy lover. Having produced two books on Charlotte County Family History. She had family from the area, and from South Boston. Growing up, we traveled many places. When working, her and John were in insurance sales, and ran Gray's financial services, qualifying for many company trips, for exceptional sales. Mom was the glue that kept things going. We spent several summers camping in Amelia and Lenexa, drove the trailer to Disney once, and made server cross-country driving trips and many other adventures. Rest in peace Mom, we love you and miss you.
A viewing will be held Saturday 11/30 from 1:00 - 4:00 at Nelsen's Laburnum Chapel, with services at the same on Monday 12/2 at 12:00 Noon, interment to follow at Washington Memorial Park, Sandston.
