BURNETTE, James “Jack”, 98, of Sandston, VA., passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016. He was a retired Plumbing Inspector for Henrico County and a member of Oak Hall Baptist Church. Jack served in the army during WWII. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Ruth Burnette; wife, Violet Burnette; and son, James “Jimmy” Burnette. Jack is survived by his daughter, Brenda Powell (Charles); grandchildren, Tammy Spring (Joe), Susan Boltz (Bo), Donna Radwani (David), and Jay Burnette; six great grandchildren; four great great-granddaughters; and dear friend, June Bibbs. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Nelsen Funeral Home 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 12pm in the Nelsen Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Oak Hall Baptist Church or American Cancer Society.
