James L. “Jimmy” Heit, 69, of Henrico passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was a foreman and master machinist at Reynold’s Metals. He enjoyed Drag Racing and was a member of the Dead End Gang. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Heit and is survived by his children, Danny Heit (Kay), Angela Heit, Ann Lorene Heit and Tabatha Ann Heit; grandchildren, Abbygail, Sarah, Michael, Eric and Evan; sister, Barbara Henley; and nieces, Neila, Rachel and Victoria; and many friends. The family will receive friends Monday, Feb. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231. Services will be private.
