Joyce Bosher Powell

Powell, Joyce Bosher, 85, of Richmond, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Monday, May 12, 2014. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Powell, Jr.; daughter, Alicia Gayle Powell; mother and stepfather, Mollie A. and Alvin Lynch, Sr.; and father, Robert Bosher; and two brothers, Robert and Bernard Bosher. She was a member of Laurel Hill United Methodist Church and was a retired employee for C&P Telephone Company. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Cheryl P. Hobson, Lisa K. Barlow (John); grandchildren, Melanie R. Verlander, Michael Hobson, and Rachel Hobson; great-grandchildren, Makenzie and Trevor Verlander; and one sister, Betty Alexander. The family will receive friends, Thursday, May 15 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Virginia; where a funeral service will be held Friday, May 16 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Washington Memorial Park.
