Whitaker, Karen Ann, 60, of Richmond, VA passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013. She was preceded in death by her father, Wirt Perdue. She is survived by her mother, Hattie Perdue; her devoted husband of 45 years, Butch; five loving children, Lisa, Phil, Tammy, Jessie and Scruffy (her BooBoo); two special sons-in-law, Michael and Donny; daughter-in-law, Rachel; five cherished grandchildren; Katelyn, Jessie Jr., Amber, Felix and Dylan; two sisters, Drema and Gloria; and two brothers, Stevie and Ricky. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, December 1, from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 2, at 2 p.m. at Four Mile Creek Baptist Church, 2950 New Market Road, Henrico, VA. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
