

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rebecca Sandridge and his parents, Andrew and Verne Cage.
Kelly was a proud and dedicated member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 666, where he worked for over 30 years as a master electrician.
Kelly was a member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church and honorably served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Outside of work and service, he found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved playing golf, spending time on the water boating and fishing, and cheering on his favorite football team, the Washington Commanders.
Above all, Kelly was a family man. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Courtney Cage, and his cherished granddaughter, Savannah Chewning, who brought him endless pride and joy. He also leaves behind his siblings, Connie Ratcliff, Andrew Cage, and Gary Cage, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Kelly’s constant companion, his beloved dog Brooke, affectionately known as "Brookie Boo", who was always by his side and will miss him dearly.
Kelly will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and unwavering love for his family, friends, and community. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A celebration of life for Kelly will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231.
